On this day people purchase coconut and cooked dishes and sweets in every house. Later part of the festival is celebrated after the worshipping the sea.

This festival, Women worship Lord Shiva by pouring water onto the shivlinga and request forgiveness for their past mistakes.

In the Central India Raksha Bandhan is celebrated as the “Kajari Purnima”. Basically this festival for Farmers and mothers. On this day farmers worship their land and the other side mothers perform special worship with their son. The celebration starts a week before the main festival.
